I am on a mission to stop letting capitalism have a say in my life. It has been an up and down battle that I feel like I am finally on the winning side of. I am here to break it down for you so that you can start your journey to dictate your own life and to not let capitalism call the shots any longer.

First, stop spending money on the fitness industry. You can literally work out for free in so many ways. If this last year’s pandemic has taught us anything is that we can find creative ways to do the things we normally do. You do not need a gym, you do not need expensive work out equipment, and you do not need the to buy anything to be able to get a good work out and stay healthy. There are so many ways to care for your mind, body, and spirit that do not require payment. So, capitalism, your fitness industry is not getting my money anymore.

Next, do not buy another diet book, or magazine, or diet plan. The diet industry is literally making billions off us and they are selling us a load of crap. There are so many diets claiming to be the one that will make you lose weight. Guess what? They are all liars. They are feeding you a line of bull; they want you to think you must use a diet to be healthy and happy but that is not true. Some people may want to see a therapist to heal either childhood trauma or adult trauma that may lead a person to have an unhealthy relationship with food but that is completely individual and personal, and it is not solved by a diet. The thing that the diet industry is banking on, literally, is the fact that you do not trust yourself. We have been taught that our brains and bodies do not know what we need but they do. What we need to do is tap into our intuition and a deeper connection with our soul. Our bodies are smart and if we are listening to them, they will take care of us and tell us what we need. Every individual and their body are unique, so be your unique self and trust your deep-rooted intuition to lead you on the path to your health.

Lastly, start loving your body exactly how it is right now. I mean it. Love the rolls, the stretch marks, the kankles, and every inch of your beautiful, courageous, and full of life body. If you cannot love yourself now, no amount of muscle you gain or weight you lose or surgery your get will ever change that. Self-love is not about how you look; it is about knowing that you deserve your love no matter what. People, we have value for just existing, we do not have to BE anything other than here. Our world is so beautiful because every person is unique and what I look like on the outside is part of that uniqueness. If you can love yourself exactly how you are, it will change your life.
